Pakistani Chicken Biryani Recipe: Saffron-Spiced Delight

Ingredients:

For the Marination:

500g chicken, cut into pieces

1 cup yogurt

1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste

1 teaspoon red chili powder

2-3 green cardamom pods

1-2 cinnamon sticks

2-3 green chilies, chopped

1/2 teaspoon garam masala

1/2 teaspoon cumin powder

1/2 teaspoon coriander powder

A dash of saffron strands (ingested 2 tablespoons of warm milk)

Fresh coriander leaves

Fresh mint leaves

Fried onions

Process:

  1. In a bowl, marinate the chicken with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a colossal pot, heat water with the eventual result of bubbling. Add doused rice, cardamom cases, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and salt. Cook the rice until it's 70% cooked. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a separate pan, heat cooking oil. Fry the thinly sliced onions until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove and set aside.

  10. Cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid and cook on low heat for 20-25 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  11. When gotten done, gently pad the biryani with a fork.
  12. Serve hot, accompanied by a raita or salad.
